Katie believes in the value of inclusion and shining light on a diversity of perspectives. Throughout her career, she hopes to use the power and reach of technology and media to produce positive social change.
Katie is a MSMS Russell Fellow at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and Co-Founder of AsylumConnect and BelieveAchieve. She has also been a Global Hesselbein Student Leadership Award Recipient (2015), a Penn Social Impact House Fellow (2015), the winner of the Millennium Peace Prize at the 7th Annual Millennium Campus Conference at the United Nations (2015), the winner of the Business Today Impact Challenge at the 42nd BT International Conference (2015), a Semi-Finalist for the Echoing Green Global Fellowship (2016), and a Finalist for the Forbes 30 Under 30 List Social Entrepreneurs category (2016). She received her BA in Health and Societies from the University of Pennsylvania.
Katie is always looking to write or guest speak about AsylumConnect, BelieveAchieve, LGBTQ issues, and nonprofit social entrepreneurship. She is also very interested in giving back through joining a nonprofit board or providing pro bono mentorship to LGBTQ youth.
